Area
The
Blanchard River Watershed is one of nine watersheds that comprise
the
Western Lake Erie
Basin.
Winding 95 miles
through fertile farmlands and woods, the Blanchard River and its
tributaries drain approximately
770 square miles of land in Allen,
Hardin, Hancock, Putnam, Seneca and Wyandot Counties in northwest
Ohio.

Several communities are located within the boundaries of the
watershed. The two largest are Findlay (39,118) and Ottawa (4,479)
which serve as the county seats of Hancock and Putnam counties,
respectively.
